Pennova (Pennsylvania-Ohio-West Va) area clay-surface speedways have aligned in 2008 to form the Unified Force Race Championship. The UFo Race Championship alliance will link major unsanctioned Super Late Model events throughout the season with standardized rules and payoffs as well as a common point system that will award top drivers bonus prize money at the end of the championship tour. The UFo Race Championship will offer race teams of the region the opportunity to compete for large payoffs and contingencies during the racing season with absolute minimum travel distances. It is the goal of the UFo Race Championship to present high-quality racing events to the fans and high-quality payoffs to the race teams to create a win/win situation for all that are involved in the sport! Since all participating speedways are renowned for well-run racing programs, each speedway remains responsible for their events utilizing home-track officials. In addition, two common officials will attend each event to guarantee consistency in the areas of car tech and race procedure. Procedure rules have been merged to produce a standardized format, with some slight options that allow each race to be customized to the home track. Super Late Model car rules feature the cost-cutting option of the SUPR/PPMS spec-type motor. This motor option can save race teams up to 50% on motor costs, while remaining equally competitive with open motors. This motor has experienced proven success year after year with many championships and feature event wins since its inception. The UFo Race Championship hopes to see a more widespread use of this cost-savings motor option and increased Super Late Model car counts as it is accepted at more speedways in the area. The UFo Race Championship will have a limited number of events throughout a season with the goals of keeping the schedule reasonable for the race teams and not to interfere with weekly racing programs in the region. Using Monroeville, PA as a central point, tracks within approximate 125 miles travel distance of that location are eligible for events. Qualified speedways who wish to schedule a race may contact one of the participating speedways for complete information.
